Job Description

The Senior Project Manager of Manufacturing Engineering manages large and complex projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. This role contributes to project operations and programs support including standardization, quality management, document management, methods creation and maintenance, process improvement and tools for the project management function. This individual has demonstrated execution of all project management disciplines, including but not limited to project prioritization, risk management, planning, resource management, budgeting and financial management, business case development, change management and value realization. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver high-quality solutions that align with the company's strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

This role will work onsite based out of our manufacturing plant in St. Charles, MO.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Develops comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation and budgeting. Chooses and executes appropriate project methodologies with limited supervision.

  • Lead manufacturing projects including product transfers, process improvements, and capital initiatives.

  • Support sourcing and transition of products from external suppliers into Earth City manufacturing.

  • Support facility expansion and fabrication capacity projects in Houston, TX.

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, risks, and deliverables.

  • Serve as the execution link between Manufacturing Engineering, Plant Managers, and Operations leadership Supply Chain, Quality, and external vendors.

  • Partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering to convert technical initiatives into executable, plant-ready project plans

  • Drive accountability, remove roadblocks, and escalate issues as needed.

  • Provide clear, concise project updates to VP-level leadership.

  • Help establish consistent project structure, cadence, and execution discipline across Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Drive standardization of project management tools, reporting, and execution practices.

  • Capture lessons learned and improved predictability and execution effectiveness over time.


What success looks like (within 12-month period)


  • Successful transfer of selected products into Earth City manufacturing.

  • Effective project support to one fabrication and one final assembly building in Houston.

  • Smooth execution of product and process transfers across plants.

  • Measurable progress on specialized initiatives such as automated welding equipment investment projects.

  • Clear improvement in project execution discipline, predictability, and accountability.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited university

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering and manufacturing operations required.

  • Proven experience with project management processes and methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience leading manufacturing or capital projects in a plant environment.

  • Understanding of fabrication, welding, machining, or assembly processes.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-plant manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Excellent planning, presentation, and collaboration skills.

  • Strong communication skills to interact frequently with stakeholders and vendors.

  • Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience transitioning work from external suppliers to in-house manufacturing.

  • Experience supporting new facilities or major expansions.

  • PMP or similar Project Management certification is a plus.
