Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain order and reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. This post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid drivers license that meets AU driver policy requirements, while living our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first values.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter and/or identify suspicious activity, security-related hazards, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Control access by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and enforcing posted rules regarding restricted areas and prohibited items.
  • Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines, and complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
