Job Summary
The HR Consultant position facilitates and coordinates the application of human resources policies and procedures for assigned campus unit(s). Coordinate implementation of new or revised human resources policies and programs within unit(s).
This position will interact regularly with unit management and staff, the Talent Management Department (TMD), and the Office of Human Resources (OHR). This position typically will advise and counsel: unit management and staff. Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Advise and assist unit management in the application of human resources policies and procedures. Job Duty 2 - Review and coordinate processing of transactions to initiate Human Resources Information System (HRIS) related to onboarding of new hires, offboarding, terminations, pay actions, promotions, data changes, etc. Job Duty 3 - Consult with the HR Consultant Sr. on all HR actions on a regular basis. Job Duty 4 - Coordinate and facilitate the processing of formal employee relations issues, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations in consultations with Employee Relations. Job Duty 5 - Perform other related duties as necessary. Job Duty 6 - Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Pay Range: $65,000-$80,000/yr. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
This job requires a working knowledge of institutional human resources policies and procedures as applied at the unit level, as well as related regulations. Interpersonal skills and spoken and written communication skills are required, as is the use of specialized office and HR computer applications. USG Core Values
