The Pricing & Quotes Specialist is responsible for approving and managing sales quotes, maintaining pricing contracts, price files, promo pricing and supporting sales teams with accurate pricing guidance. This role partners closely with Sales, Customer Service, Pricing Analyst Manager, EDI Specialist, and international teams to ensure pricing accuracy, contract compliance, and smooth order processing.

Essential Job Functions

  • Approve and manage all quote requests from the Sales Team
  • Set up and maintain district, ship-to, apprentice, and special pricing quotes
  • Follow all defined procedures, work instructions, and checklists to properly process price increases
  • Monitor and maintain pricing contracts within internal systems and websites, ensuring all active supplier contracts are current and accurate
  • Maintain pricing notes and pricing control sections within vendor maintenance systems
  • Maintain pricing systems and files, including price lists, item cards, NAV, and quote forms
  • Support distributor and customer setup, including new distributors, branches, ship-to updates, and buyouts
  • Approve, enter, and renew SPAs; validate usage and update pricing
  • Monitor and resolve EDI pricing discrepancies and communicate findings to Sales
  • Manage discontinued and obsolete items across all pricing tools
  • Train new sales team members on pricing processes and territory pricing
  • Advise Account Managers on contract pricing best practices during onboarding and ongoing operations
  • Investigate debit questions from Accounts Receivable (AR), provide findings and supporting documentation, issue credits when debits are valid, dispute invalid deductions with backup information, and correct root causes to prevent future occurrences.
  • Actively engage in responsibilities and initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Comply with and contribute to the continuous improvement of company policies, processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented workplace, which may include other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • H.S. degree or equivalent
  • 2 years' experience in pricing, quoting, and sales operations
  • Experience in pricing, quoting, and sales operations
  • Strong understanding of pricing structures and contract pricing processes
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP/pricing systems
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • A satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may be considered.

The expected hourly rate for this position is between $21.72/hour and $29.21/hour. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
