Position Summary

Support the Division Compliance team to design, develop, and implement the vision, strategy and tools for Parker's worldwide trade compliance efforts that will allow Parker to execute the Win Strategy.

Position will report to Division Compliance Manager. This role will work directly with the Strategic Supply Chain team located in Irvine, California. Individual must be able to work out of the Irvine, California FSD building. This role does not have direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and researches the applicable regulations for agencies associated with import and export compliance
  • Conducts on site and desktop compliance audits
  • Performs FTA Analysis
  • Uses ACE or similar to extract import or export data, and publish reports/metrics
  • Analyze divisional/corporate duty spend
  • Ensures quality of trade reporting to providers, suppliers, and agencies
  • Assists with GTM automation solutions
  • Maintains Parker's Importer Self-Assessment Program
  • Various departmental projects and tasks

May also be asked to do the following:

  • Design, develop and implement import & export programs on a global basis
  • Ability to review all customs and export declarations and associated documentation for compliance with regulations
  • Proficient with using the HTS and how to apply GRI's, rules or origin and classification rulings
  • Competent with all export control including: Licensing, ITAR, OFAC; Screening; and Sanctions
  • Provides Parker's operations with guidance on trade management and improvement opportunities
  • Assists with integration of acquisitions into Parker's trade compliance programs
  • Corresponds directly with government agencies on reconciliation, protests, petitions, refunds, penalty mitigation and voluntary self-disclosures
  • Performs annual valuation reconciliation
  • Coordinates Customers bond management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) in a related field
  • Industry relevant certifications (i.e. LCB, CES/CIS)
  • 5 years trade compliance, logistics, or supply chain experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Assertive, strong initiative, highly organized, customer focused
  • Collaborative in a matrix-oriented environment

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $83250 to $138550 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
