Title: Information Technology - Cyber Security Intern

Location: Mandeville, LA

Position Overview: The IT Intern supporting Cybersecurity assists in protecting systems, data, and users by supporting cybersecurity operations, compliance activities, and security awareness initiatives.

Role Focus: Security operations support, compliance, and risk awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with monitoring security tools and alerts under supervision

* Help maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation

* Support antivirus updates, patching, and access reviews

* Assist with vendor security questionnaires and audits

* Participate in security awareness and training initiatives

Skills Developed: Cyber hygiene, risk awareness, compliance documentation, security tooling fundamentals.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED required.

* Must be currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Skills & Abilities:

* Basic understanding of IT concepts, such as programming languages, database management, and cybersecurity

* Basic typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

* Strong problem-solving skills

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to interact professionally with company personnel

* Adaptable to new technologies and new situations

* Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and manage your workload effectively

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Strong desire to learn and improve your skills

* Must be at least 18 years of age
