Position Overview

CESI is seeking motivated software development candidates to lead development of modern full stack software applications. The candidate will participate in an Agile scrum team in the development of a fully functional production application.

This is an onsite position in Orlando, FL.



Responsibilities

    Recommends corrections in technical applications and analysis.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to less-experienced engineering staff.
  • Work through an Agile-based full-cycle development that includes requirements analysis, design, & implementation.
  • Apply software engineering standards and assist the engineering team in software system or subsystem development and documentation efforts.
  • Understands and adheres to project schedules and stays within established budgets.
  • Efficiently diagnose and debug front-end and back-end software issues.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate problems and solutions with the team and external stakeholders, both verbally and electronically.
  • Plans, conduct, technically directs and evaluates software projects across and agile development cycle.


Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 10 years applicable progressively complex software design engineering experience
  • Minimum 10 years software engineering experience at increasingly complex levels.
  • Strong object-oriented programming expertise
  • Strong expertise with Angular and Java Spring Boot desired
  • Experience with containerization of applications
  • Experience in Linux shell scripting
  • Experience in cloud-based infrastructures and environments
  • Agile development process and planning tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of modern software repository applications, branching schemas, and deployment concepts.


Preferred Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge in any of the following areas would be considered a plus:

  • Strong understanding and application of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts across the software development environment
  • Experience in Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Experience with back-end development, including node.js, web servers (Nginx, Apache, etc.), database servers, etc.
  • Secure web-based development
  • Database design and modern data storage and retrieval schemas
  • Understanding of the DoD cyber training mission is preferred.


Special Requirements/Security Clearance

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
