Job Description

The Vice President of Business Development - Midwest is responsible for driving organizational growth through new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and high-impact project oversight in the Midwest. This role blends external relationship-building with internal project leadership to support the company's long-term objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensures proper support for all project operations
  • Provides all management services as required by our contract with the client.
  • Provides all services such that the objectives for quality of Vanir's service, project schedule, cost and project quality are met or exceeded.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Lead proposal development, pitch strategies, and negotiation processes.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate internally to build business cases for growth initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional projects from planning through execution.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into actionable project plans.
  • Oversee reporting, performance tracking, and communication with leadership.
  • Align project goals with broader organizational strategy.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Operations on initiatives supporting growth.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • 5-10 years in business development, partnerships, project management, or similar roles.
  • Proven ability to secure new business and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
