Pay: $21-24.50/hour based on experience
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Production Tech 1 is focused on executing basic production tasks, and performing routine technical production work. This entry-level position is crucial for those starting their career in electronics manufacturing, providing an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting while learning industry standards and practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engages in the setup and operation of basic manufacturing equipment to existing specifications, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Handles routine production tasks and escalates issues as necessary, ensuring compliance with quality standards and that products meet process specifications and standards.
  • Provides support in basic daily and weekly appraisal and rudimentary maintenance of equipment and tools necessary for the electronic manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrates a basic knowledge of electronics processes and assembly, Has the ability to interpret basic technical documentation effectively.
  • Executes basic Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Tackles technical problems, independently or with occasional assistance, proposing feasible solutions and effectively communicate them to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Collaborates effectively within the production team, communicating technical information clearly and contributing to operational goals.
  • Executes and provides feedback of manufacturing processes and procedures, Ensures accurate records and adherence to protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on existing processes and participating in process improvement efforts.
  • Aids in the basic troubleshooting by ensuring proper setup and procedure execution of manufacturing equipment and/or utilizing fault dictionaries/trees/maps to identify root cause, minimizing downtime, and maintaining production efficiency.
  • Performs daily equipment maintenance, (inspection, cleaning, lubrication)
  • Assists with the implementation of new process technologies and equipment, ensuring seamless integration into production.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced process efficiency, cost reduction, and yield enhancement.
  • Participates in the execution and validation of process changes ensuring that new and modified processes meet all requirements and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of various aspects of the PCBA process, in their specialization area.
  • Assists in the identification and resolution of recurring process and performance issues impacting
  • Resolve basic level debug and troubleshooting escalations
  • Ability to read basic wiring diagrams, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Degree, GED or military training experience. With a focus on vocational skills preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in basic electronics assembly and/or testing, and/or troubleshooting.
  • Effective oral and written English communication and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to learn and apply new skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Awareness of Lean principles, six sigma and industrial ergonomics preferred.
  • Proficient in using Computer systems preferred.
