Position Title: Program Manager III - Medical Device

Work Location: Branchburg, NJ 08876


Assignment Duration: 2 years

Work Arrangement: Onsite


Position Summary:

Enable Commercialization of NPI's, Portfolio Management of On Market Support projects and provides Project Management expertise across the CAD Organization. Develop, implement and lead NPI program from R&D handover to final launch and commercial liason. Lead strategic product support programs in order to ensure robustness of supply, quality products, and appropriate levels of customer service, while minimizing costs and maximizing benefits to The Organization.

Background & Context:

Department Function/ Objective - Enable Commercialization of NPI's, Portfolio Management of On Market Support projects and provides Project Management expertise across the CAD Organization.

Qualification & Experience:

  • PMI certification is highly desirable.
  • Operations and Product Development Experience in Devices
  • 10 - 15 years' experience in Device and Pharma industry with diversified business experience, including operations support/quality at plant level for medical products and/or medical devices, supply chain, validations, capital and expense management, and commercial product launches.
  • Lean black belt or Green with significant facilitation/workshop experience.
  • Proficient in Project Management tolls & techniques and Program Management experience.
  • Degree in Engineering / Science or related discipline.
  • Advanced business degree is benefit.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma is desirable
  • Knowledge of good R&D practices and design control.
  • Knowledge of medical device, pharmaceutical industry (or Combination products) is required.
  • High level of competence with all Microsoft packages including Microsoft Project.



Key Responsibilities:

  • To create an overall project or program plan from bottom up with a cross functional team.
  • To manage the execution of project(s) across the PDS&T organization, Franchise Organizations, and Third-Party Suppliers. Coordinate global project teams to perform NPI program management, technical transfers of products, product maintenance and global launches of new combination device and device programs.
  • To carry out and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage execution of tasks and co-ordination of projects in both remote and office-based settings.
  • Open to lead activities across different time zones and be flexible to be available, as appropriate to align with other time zones.
  • Develop realistic cross functional project or program implementation plans with input from other functions, e.g., R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial.
  • Ensure this cross functional project or program implementation plan includes detail Microsoft Project Schedule, rolled up workstream level summary using Office Timeline Plus, Action Log, Risk Log, Decision Log and RACI.
  • Utilize the relevant PM tools for project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Maintain project budgets and timelines.
  • Set project milestones and report progress accordingly. Consider alternative approaches and take corrective action as needed to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Provide project management support for and guide the efforts of third-party organizations (vendors, suppliers, contractors, etc.) to enable achievement of shared milestones.
  • Fulfil management role in terms of organizing project teams, facilitating communication between resources, guiding technical, financial, business and personnel conflict resolution and monitoring budget administration.
  • Identify and implement opportunities that will improve The Organization's ability to implement and deliver quality products in a cost effective, compliant, and timely manner.
  • Support the development of the Program Management process for the PDS&T organization.



Working Conditions & Physical Demands (If Applicable): Open to lead activities across different time zones and be flexible to be available, as appropriate to align with other time zones. The Employee will perform duties appropriate to this position as instructed by the Company. He / she will be required to be flexible and to undertake any such additional or alternative duties as the Company shall reasonably assign to the Employee from time to time. The Company also has the right to ask the employee to move to another work location without seeing consent at the time of the transfer.
