OUR OPENING

Journey Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Building division in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

In this role, you will lead commercial construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You'll partner closely with clients, architects, and internal teams while helping drive quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.


WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A PROJECT MANAGER?

  • Lead construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Plan, schedule, budget, and manage project resources and timelines
  • Partner with clients, architects, and internal teams to ensure project success
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
  • Monitor project quality, costs, and progress on a daily basis
  • Prepare and present project status reports and documentation
  • Support business development efforts through estimating and proposals
  • Develop and lead project teams, promoting accountability and growth
  • Build strong working relationships across departments and job sites
  • Identify and resolve risks, challenges, and scope changes


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION NEEDED

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years managing commercial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Valid driver's license and insurability
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
