Information Technology / Operations Technology (IT/OT) professionals sculpt the technological framework of the organization through the creation and management of scalable and secure information systems. Charged with the development and deployment of solutions, they analyze short- and long-term requirements to enhance system functionality and efficiency. They design and refine software applications, ensuring integration with existing architectural paradigms while also developing network systems and infrastructure to support business needs. IT/OT personnel manage the organization's IT/OT landscape, guaranteeing the reliable operation of servers, databases, and other components of the technology ecosystem. By maintaining a secure and robust IT/OT infrastructure, they uphold the integrity and confidentiality of data while facilitating connectivity and accessibility. Information Technology / Operations Technology personnel continually adapt to technological advancements, ensuring the organization stays at the forefront of emerging IT/OT trends and is well-equipped to meet future challenges while maintaining secure and stable operations.

Data science professionals are responsible for mining valuable insights from data by converting data inquiries into a structured analytical dataset that supports organizational decision-making, regulatory reporting, advanced modeling, and visual representations. Essential competencies include collecting and organizing analytical data through data management platforms, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, contributing to the interpretation and proper use of data, aiding in the creation of data analysis and sampling strategies, engineering tools for efficient data pipeline utilization, offering important observations related to essential business performance indicators, collaborating with stakeholders to accommodate their data system requirements while resolving data-centric technical hurdles, and effectively presenting analytical findings to meet regulatory standards. These professionals are expected to work in collaboration with users, various technical teams, and stakeholders to perform their roles successfully and manage the data system effectively. They should also be innovative in problem-solving to deliver reliable and technically sound outcomes.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of advanced data analytics tools, including dashboards, reports, and other analyses to provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders. Identify opportunities to apply data analytics across organizational functions and recommend appropriate end-user tools to address analytical needs. Continuously improve existing dashboards and analyses to maximize efficiency and utility, while exploring and implementing automated data analysis solutions that drive productivity and cost savings. Manage customer requests, ensuring delivered solutions meet client requirements, deadlines, and expectations. Coordinate with employees responsible for various data sources to ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and clarity of information shared across platforms or tools.
Lead a team of data analysts and project contributors, overseeing the execution of short-, mid-, and long-term data analytics projects from initiation to completion while managing resources, timelines, risks, and budgets. Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and training sessions to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and promote the adoption of data solutions. Validate that proper security measures, access controls, and data integrity processes are in place for all projects. Manage change requests and evaluate their impact on project scopes, ensuring alignment with organizational and customer goals. Foster collaboration with internal and external partners and stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the team adopts innovative, cutting-edge approaches to data analytics solutions. Conduct post-implementation evaluations to identify areas for improvement and drive a culture of continuous process enhancement.

Required Qualifications

* Eight or more years of experience (YOE) as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed, OR Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field plus five or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed, OR Master's Degree in a relevant field plus three or more year of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed
* Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
* 5+ years of People & Project management
* Microsoft 365 experience
* Process/System Implementation & Improvement
* Experience with managing tasks in a Nuclear construction project

* Data Management & Analysis: Experience collecting, organizing, validating, and analyzing structured data to produce recurring reports, trend analysis, KPIs, and performance metrics supporting data-driven decision making.

* Reporting & Data Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data validation), SharePoint, and business reporting tools to support data tracking, documentation, and accessibility

* Automation & Business Systems: Experience supporting data automation, business systems optimization, and workflow tools to reduce manual effort, improve reporting efficiency, and enhance stakeholder usability.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration & Risk Analysis: Strong background partnering with cross-functional teams to consolidate data inputs, identify data gaps and risks, and deliver timely, accurate insights aligned with operational and program objectives.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
