Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized paralegal to join our Tax & Business Planning practice in our Coralville, Iowa office. This role supports a growing Iowa-based practice that includes tax planning, estate planning and administration, real estate, and closely held business matters.

The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, client-facing environment and brings strong drafting, organizational, and follow-through skills to complex matters governed by Iowa law. This position is well-suited for a paralegal who enjoys technical work, values precision, and wants to be deeply embedded in a regional practice with meaningful client interaction.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Support attorneys in tax and business planning matters, including estate planning and administration under Iowa law
* Draft and prepare wills, trusts, probate filings, fiduciary income tax returns, and related documents
* Assist with probate administration and property transfers pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 633
* Support complex tax planning strategies and compliance initiatives
* Provide transactional support for Iowa-based clients, including real estate matters and basic corporate work
* Prepare and maintain corporate records, including minute books, annual minutes, and required filings
* Coordinate document execution and assist with in-person client meetings
* Communicate regularly with clients, courts, and internal teams to ensure deadlines and requirements are met
* Maintain accurate records, manage calendars and deadlines, and ensure timely completion of all filings
* This is an in-person position in our Coralville office, requiring on-site work four days per week.

Our Ideal Candidates Will Have:

* A two-year college degree; paralegal certificate preferred
* 5-8+ years of experience
* Prior experience in tax, estate planning/administration, real estate, business, or transactional legal work
* Familiarity with Iowa probate, estate administration, or fiduciary processes (or a strong interest in developing this expertise)
* Strong drafting and document management skills with exceptional attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines
* Professional, client-focused demeanor with strong communication skills
* Comfort working closely with attorneys in a highly collaborative, in-office environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
* Preference for IManage experience
