Job Purpose

Responsible for activities related to performance management for the NY Business Unit. Drive data collection, analysis, and reporting across all business segments to the Leadership Team. Produce and communicate performance information to enable leaders to influence regional performance and address business issues.

This role will engage leadership at all levels to drive performance who enable the NY business to meet its objectives in support of National Grid's Strategic Priorities.

Key Accountabilities

Collaborate:

  • Work closely with teams across all business functions and Executive leadership
  • Coordinate with NE and UK counterparts and other stakeholders to align performance metrics and report formats

Manage key information to support performance management:

  • Maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) hierarchies, which roll up to provide performance reporting results via dashboards and scorecards.
  • Analyze and challenge performance results and initiate appropriate escalations and remediation efforts.
  • Drive transparency and accountability.
  • Support development of corrective actions and track improvement measures.

Report Results:

  • Produce accurate and timely reports to meet the established reporting requirements
  • Review, analyze, synthesize, clarify, and communicate clearly all materials suitable for Executive/Group level reporting (i.e. Business Review Meeting or "BRM").
  • Provide additional support to New York leadership, as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of business and/or supervisory experience
  • Strong computer/visual management skills relative to data collection and reporting (Power Point and Excel)
  • Strong executive level writing skills
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • Skills in presenting data in a clear and persuasive manner, especially in PPT
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, work well, influence and challenge across all functions with staff from a diverse range of backgrounds and experience

Preferred:

  • Experience in performance or project management and reporting
  • Knowledge of relevant industry practice, current trends and developments, and utility operations a plus
  • Experience with Power BI Database and Reporting a plus

Downstate NY Salary: $111,000 - $130,000 a year

Upstate NY Salary: $92,000 - $108,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
