Global Mobility III

Location: Austin, TX or Albany, NY

This position seeks an experienced corporate global mobility professional that will focus on expat management and relocation. The person will sit at our downtown Austin office, working a hybrid schedule.

The Global Mobility Specialist III, Senior (GMS, Sr.) will support all immigration global mobility matters for US hires and immigration needs for the client's TEL's expat population. This individual will be leading matters related to international transfer services including assignment coordination, help with regulatory immigration requirements when needed, while engaging both with internal and external stakeholders, managing the administration of immigration records for the client's of HR global mobility processes for expat and local hires requiring immigration sponsorship relocation. The GMS III , Sr. fully understands the employee global mobility life cycle, implications of changes and can make recommendations for solutions and process improvements, using judgement and strategic initiative to both internal HR global mobility and operational processes as well as external global mobility vendor processes (RMC, tax, and immigration vendors).

Day to Day (Responsibilities):

* Acts as an immigration global mobility SME and coordinates HR/Global Mobility activities for expatriate and inpatriate employee population with a high concentration of immigration processes. expat management.

* Ownership of all employee files that are part of the global mobility program (assignments or one way moves) through the entire mobility life cycle.

* Consults with expatriate employees/managers and leads various global mobility processes as needed within the global mobility team.

* Advises various US operating companies (business leaders & HR peers) regarding application of expatriate programs, including immigration requirements/compliance, employment conditions, taxation implications, and ensuring compliance with client's worldwide guidelines and local employment regulations.

* Practices a sense of collaboration, building strong relationships within the team, and with internal and external stakeholders.

* Partners with immigration law firm, RMC, and tax provider to ensure compliance with Company policy to recommend and secure the proper visa proper documentation and processes for inpatriates, local hires and business travelers.

* Responsible for organization of global mobility data management & maintenance through client's databases as well as internal HR databases.

* Leads various Global Mobility projects related to immigration compliance.

* Oversees Immigration visaglobal mobility assignments and One Way relocation processes, coordination & documentation.

* Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Must Haves (minimum qualifications):

* Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, international business or in a related field. In lieu of education, 4 additional years of corporate global mobility experience

* 5+ years of experience working in an in-house global mobility program that includes expatriate management (corporate immigration program)

* Demonstrated ability to manage global mobility lifecycle processes to include cost estimates, consultations to management and potential relocating employees, mobility vendor management and documentation.

* Excellent time management and ability to

* Experience in US immigration & business travel visas (a plus)

* Familiarity within international work & business visas (experience with global visas/work permits from non-US countries)

* 4+ years of experience in immigration employee global mobility data management with mobility platforms (Equus preferred) is a plus

* 4+ years of experience managing immigration outside counsel global mobility vendors (immigration firm vendor, tax firm, and RMC)is a plus

* English language proficiency; Japanese bilingual a plus

* Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)

* Must have excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide consultations to employees and managers of all levels

* Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis abilities

* An Excelling ability to prioritize workload, proficient in time management, be self-directed, and have excellent attention to detail

*Advance knowledge of geography & geopolitical developments relating to global immigration mobility

* Advanced International exposure and a highly developed sensitivity and cultural awareness

* Ability to exercise and maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism

* Proven ability to build business relationships throughout an organization
