Assistant Director of Admissions for Operations Level: 12 At Duke Law, bold thinking and diverse perspectives strengthen our community and elevate our mission. The Assistant Director of Admissions for Operations plays a critical role in shaping each incoming class by leading the systems, processes, and communications that drive an exceptional admissions experience. What You'll Do Lead Admissions Operations (50%) - Oversee the end-to-end JD application processing system, including application flow, incomplete file resolution, and fee waivers. - Process and maintain accurate records of deposits, withdrawals, and other admitted-student actions. - Manage the electronic interface with LSAC UNITE, DukeHub, and related databases. - Train, supervise, and support the Office Coordinator. - Monitor and support immunization compliance for admitted students. - Maintain rigorous quality controls to ensure 100% accuracy. - Ensure compliance with Duke's record-retention policies. - Coordinate workflows with internal partners. - Recommend and implement process improvements. Financial Management (15%) - Manage the Admissions budget. - Process expense receipts and travel reimbursements. Communications & Marketing (25%) - Lead production of print and digital communications. - Send invitations, fee waivers, and outreach campaigns. - Compose and send applicant status updates. - Develop automated responses using campus-approved AI tools. - Counsel applicants and escalate when needed. - Prepare annual JD application and instructions. - Maintain and update the admissions website. - Support major admissions events. Recruitment Travel Coordination (5%) - Register staff for recruitment events. - Oversee travel logistics and materials. - Maintain records for future planning. Student Exams Administration Support (5%) - Maintain knowledge of exam policies. What You Bring Education - Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent. - Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience. Experience - At least 2 years administrative/business experience. Skills - Project and financial management - Strong communication skills - High accuracy and organization - CRM experience preferred Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $59,829.00 to USD $86,700.00.
