CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR - Psychiatry - CHILD DIVISION - GLOW PROJECT - CONRADT

This position will help coordinate the day-to-day operations of the GLOW study within the Duke Child Adaptation and Neurodevelopment Lab. This study is recruiting pregnant Latina and African American women to assess the effects of racism and discrimination on birth outcomes. The candidate will be responsible for recruiting and running study visits according to protocol, data management and cleaning, and regulatory submissions.

Study needs require the ability to come in-person to our Durham office location for occasional onsite meetings as well as to conduct participant sessions at relevant time points; a flexible schedule allowing for evening and weekend availability for participant sessions is required.

Minimum Requirements:



  • Work requires completion of an associate's degree
  • Work requires a minimum of two years of relevant research experience. A Bachelor's degree may substitute for 2 years required experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Strong interpersonal skills required
  • Experience with or ability to learn clinical interviewing
  • Experience with data cleaning and REDCap software

Position Description:



  • Employs and may develop strategies to maintain recruitment and retention rates and evaluate processes to identify problems. Escalates issues.
  • Screens participants for complex studies. Develops or helps develop SOPs.
  • Conducts activities for study visits in compliance with the protocol to include study interviews and collection of prenatal heart rate data
  • Identifies adverse events (AEs), and determines whether or not they are reportable. Collaborates with the PI to determine AE attributes, including relatedness to study.
  • Data management and cleaning of physiological data.
  • Ensures that studies are conducted in compliance with institutional requirements and other policies.

Anticipated Pay Range:

Duke Universityprovides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $59,829.00 to USD $99,960.00.
