Summary of the Job:

The HR Business Partner Intern will gain comprehensive exposure to the human resources department through a structured rotation program across multiple business units. This role offers hands-on experience in talent management, employee relations, workforce analytics, and strategic HR initiatives that directly support FNBO's business objectives. The intern will work closely with experienced HRBPs in order to develop critical analytical and HR talent capabilities.

About This Role:

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Talent Management Support

  • Assistwith talent management activities including performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning initiatives
  • Support business unit HRBPs with talent review processes and related deliverables
  • Participate in talent discussions and strategic workforce planning sessions

Talent Analytics

  • Develop HR metrics and reports to support data-driven decision making
  • Conduct analysis on workforce trends and provide insights to HRBPs and business leaders
  • Create visualizations and presentations that communicate HR data effectively

Projects

  • Participate in ongoing HRBP initiatives and special projects
  • Contribute to employee relations, engagement, and organizational effectiveness work
  • Conduct research and analysis to support business partnering priorities

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required:

  • Currently pursuingabachelor'sdegree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fieldwith a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Outstandinginterpersonal skills with ability to build rapport and work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills withproficiencyin Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adapts quickly to change
  • Works independently and seeks guidance when needed
  • Ability tomaintainstrict confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Professional maturity, sound judgment, and genuine interest in HR and talent management
  • Onsite position in Omaha, NE with some limited hybrid work capabilities

Preferred:

  • Coursework in HR, organizational behavior, statistics, or data analysis
  • Previousinternship or work experience in HR, business, or analytics
  • Familiarity with HRIS or enterprise systems
  • Understanding of employment law and HR compliance basics
