Hours

  • 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (Mon-Fri) Onsite
  • Overtime as needed

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated base pay for this position is $49,040-$61,300. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Prototyping and Tooling? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our Manufacturing function. As a Manufacturing Technician, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. Preventative Maintenance Mechanic conducts troubleshooting repair and preventative maintenance services to assembly fixtures, and test equipment throughout the plant. Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Tool Shop and working closely with the Senior Manufacturing Technician and Production leadership, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for supporting production processes through tooling repairs and preventative maintenance. This includes ensuring that production lines are running smoothly and all tasks are completed according to timelines. They will work with various hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems in their daily work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the production areas including, but not limited to:
  • Performing preventative maintenance on all types of production tooling
  • Scheduling preventative maintenance for Manufacturing Technicians
  • Completing preventative maintenance tasks in Limble
  • Troubleshooting and repairing production tooling
  • Working with Tool Design to institute tooling document revisions and updates
  • Problem solving and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll Need To Succeed:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year of experience minimum in a mechanical/manufacturing role

  • Exposure to production tooling, design, CAD, and Limble CMMS preferred

  • Experience in sheet metal manufacturing, machining, and machine shop is a strong asset

  • Some experience with fabrication equipment, assembly equipment and production processes preferred

  • A good eye for detail with excellent analytical, problem solving, skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster and build strong relationships

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Physical demands:

  • Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.

  • Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.

  • Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).

  • Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.

  • Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.

  • Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.

  • Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.

  • Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.

  • Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.

  • Other: Respirator certification required.
