Kratos Antenna Solutions is searching for a highly motivated individual to join our team in Plano, TX and assist with the development, manufacture, and testing of microwave and HF antennas for satellite Earth stations, terrestrial communications, and radar applications. The individual will be involved with designing, integrating, prototyping, troubleshooting, and testing new products from the conceptual stage through production. The individual will work with our manufacturing team to introduce new designs and provide ongoing support and maintenance of existing products.



  • Work independently and as part of a team to design new antenna products as needed, primarily but not limited to new single and multi-band feeds from UHF through Q band for existing reflector optics designs
  • Manufacturing support of large (2.4 to 18 meter) Earth station antennas, radar antennas, antenna feeds, waveguides, direction-finding and HF antennas
  • Supervision of test operations at indoor and outdoor antenna test facilities
  • Must review all test data and prepare final test reports


Keyword: microwave antennas and associated feed components; electromagnetic analysis and design tools, preferably including HFSS, GRASP, and CHAMP
Required Experience:

  • MS degree in Electrical Engineering with 6-8 years of relevant work experience; PhD preferred; or equivalent work experience.
  • Solid background with microwave antennas and associated feed components, such as corrugated horns, orthomode transducers (OMTis), filters, diplexers, polarizers, and related waveguide components.
  • Proficiency with electromagnetic analysis and design tools, preferably including HFSS, GRASP, and CHAMP.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to direct and review work of mechanical designers in creating and modifying released part drawings.
  • Significant antenna test range experience, including troubleshooting of range test equipment, is strongly preferred.
  • Must have ability to work on antenna test towers (stair access) without a fear of heights.
  • Must be willing to learn and take direction from others while completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must be a team player but also self-motivated and able to work well independently to complete tasks with minimal supervision.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Proficiency with MATLAB and/or LABVIEW programming is a plus.
  • Experience with accurate surface measurement in a manufacturing environment, including laser scanning and photogrammetry
