SUMMARY

The role provides broad support across the HR function, including assisting with recruiting activities, coordinating onboarding, and maintaining accurate employee records. It helps facilitate employee engagement, training programs, and various HR projects focused on process improvement. The position also offers exposure to employee relations, while supporting benefits, payroll, and daytoday administrative responsibilities to ensure a smooth and positive employee experience. Internships are temporary employment and do not offer benefits, relocation, or housing stipend. The role will be 100% on site and is anticipated to last from May/June 2026- August 2026. Pay is set at $21/hr and scheduled for 40 hours a week.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES

1. Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Support

  • Assist Talent Acquisition team with recruiting efforts.

2. Onboarding & New Hire Experience

  • Prepare onboarding materials or welcome packets
  • Assist with new-hire orientation sessions
  • Ensure completion of employee paperwork (I-9s, tax forms, policies)
  • Help set up workstations or coordinate IT access requests

3. HR Administration

  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS systems
  • Help track and organize training completion or compliance forms
  • Prepare standard HR reports (headcount, attendance, recruiting metrics)

4. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Support planning for engagement activities or events
  • Assist with employee surveys or feedback initiatives
  • Help create internal communications, newsletters, or recognition posts

5. Training & Development Support

  • Help schedule training sessions or workshops
  • Track attendance and training progress
  • Prepare training materials or slide decks

6. HR Projects & Process Improvement

  • Conduct basic research on HR best practices
  • Assist in updating HR policies or procedures
  • Support system audits or data clean-up projects

7. Employee Relations Exposure

  • Observe employee relations meetings when appropriate
  • Help document ER cases or track action items
  • Support investigations by organizing notes or evidence (if permitted)

8. Benefits & Payroll Assistance

  • Answer basic benefits questions from employees
  • Help with open enrollment tracking
  • Assist payroll team with data verification

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required
  • Effective organization and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail
  • Ability to work with diverse groups
  • Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism.
  • Strong customer service and employee focus
  • Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrate knowledge of federal and state employment regulations

Education: Pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree degree in Human Resources

Full Time

Compensation Range: $21.00 USD Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
