Purpose of the Job

The Salesforce Product Owner III is responsible for maximizing the value of Truliant's Salesforce platform by leading the delivery of complex, enterprise-level solutions that support member and employee experiences. This role combines senior-level product ownership, deep Salesforce platform knowledge, and user-experience (UX) design thinking to drive customer-centric, compliant, and scalable solutions. The Salesforce Product Owner III partners closely with business leaders, technology teams, and stakeholders to ensure Salesforce capabilities align with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the full lifecycle of Salesforce projects, from planning and backlog grooming to deployment and post-implementation support.
  • Utilizes design thinking methodologies to deeply understand banking employees' needs, pain points, and behaviors, translating insights into actionable product features.
  • Leads user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions tailored to banking users to inform ongoing product improvements.
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates technical risks associated with Salesforce integrations, customizations, and dependencies.
  • Manages cross-system dependencies and coordinates releases across interconnected platforms.
  • Manages scope, schedule, and resource planning for complex Salesforce projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
  • Incorporates UX best practices to create intuitive, accessible, and secure user interfaces suitable for banking applications.
  • Defines and tracks key metrics related to user engagement, satisfaction, security, and adoption; uses data to inform product decisions.
  • Implements user adoption tactics, including onboarding strategies, training materials, and change management initiatives, to maximize product utilization within banking environments.
  • Ensures products adhere to banking regulations, security standards, and industry best practices.
  • Participates in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure continuous delivery and improvement.
  • Stays informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX, banking, and product management.
  • Assists with other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Maintains a continuous learning mindset, experimenting with new tools and capabilities to drive platform innovation and efficiency.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have a strong understanding of banking regulations, security standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Must be proficient with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD).
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have an understanding of financial services regulations and their impact on technology implementations.
  • Must have the ability to make decisions and work independently.
  • Must have the ability to understand all business processes within the Credit Union.
  • Must be detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Must be able to work in a general office environment.
  • Must be flexible and able to shift resources and priorities as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer.
  • Must be able to moderately lift or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Occasional travel may be required for vendor meetings, conferences, or team collaboration.

Education and Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Finance, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in an Agile environment.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years supporting Salesforce-based solutions in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry.
  • Proven expertise in user experience design thinking, adoption strategies, change management, and applying it within banking or financial environments.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale or complex Salesforce projects.
  • Proven expertise in user experience design thinking and applying it within banking or financial CRM products.
  • Must have experience leading technical integrations, migrations, or large digital transformations involving Salesforce.
  • Must have experience with user-centered design principles, usability testing, and accessibility standards specific to banking applications.
  • Must have experience with user adoption strategies, change management, and stakeholder engagement in banking environments.
