The Associate Director of Radiation Oncology collaborates with the Medical Director and other executive leadership in the strategy, planning, and execution of strategic initiatives that will impact the business units. The person in this role possesses a highly developed ability to work effectively with a variety of constituents and can lead and manage through influence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Associate Director develops business and operation plans for the departments and for specific programs by preparing, monitoring, and controlling budget and ensuring conformity with established budgetary goals
  • Manages monthly reports to explain variances and make recommendations for corrective action when necessary. Reviews and approves expenditures for appropriateness and compliance with budgets
  • Creates policies and procedures, implements Performance Improvement initiatives and sets up data collection processes and reporting systems as necessary
  • Develops staffing plan to ensure appropriate staff level based on patient volume and activity
  • Responsible for hiring, maintaining and improving competencies, and staff development to increase their skills, knowledge and experience. Conducts performance reviews, disciplinary actions and action plans
  • Position in this function utilizes fiscal management skills to prepare, monitor and control budget, reduce expenses and generate increased revenues
  • Establishes staffing effectiveness patterns and monitors to meet patient care needs; provides clinical support as needed. Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs. Coordinates weekly chart review with various disciplines of the department
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, accreditation, professional and regulatory agency standards and licensure requirements for assigned departments
  • Maintain staff compliance with medical center policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • BLS
  • 5+ years of Radiation Oncology Management
  • Solid ability to engage team and communicate effectively
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Driver's license and access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience working in Oncology
  • 5+ years of experience as a Radiation Therapist in an active and advanced Cancer Center

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
