SUMMARY: This position is responsible for developing and executing end-to-end commodity strategies for key aerospace categories (e.g., machined parts, electronics, composites, raw materials). This role drives supplier selection, negotiation of Long-Term Agreements (LTAs), and cost-out initiatives while ensuring strict compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Strategic Sourcing Strategy: Develop and deploy multi-year sourcing strategies to optimize the supply base for both new product introductions (NPI) and existing production. * Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for complex Master Agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Proposals, ensuring favorable terms for cost, quality, and delivery. * Compliance & Audit Readiness: Ensure all procurement actions comply with FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and cybersecurity requirements (e.g., NIST 800-171), supporting DCAA/DCMA audits. * Supplier Management: Evaluate supplier performance (OTD, quality), conduct capability/capacity assessments, and manage risk, including single-source mitigation. * Cost Management: Utilize should-cost modeling, clean-sheet analysis, and value engineering to drive total cost of ownership (TCO) reductions. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Legal teams to align sourcing strategies with program schedules and technical requirements. * Proposal Support: Provide supplier bids and price analyses for new business proposals (TINA compliance). QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field is desired. * 10+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or commodity management experience (aerospace or defense industry is preferred). * Knowledge of FAR/DFARS contracting regulations and government procurement practices is preferred. * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, special processing, assembly, etc.) and experience reading engineering drawings/specifications. * Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite. * Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (DoD Secret/Top Secret). * Desired Professional certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management - CPSM, CPM). * Desired experience with Lean Six Sigma tools. * Desired experience with AS9100 quality standards. - Pay Range: $104400 to $174150 annually
