Tax Intern

Location - Latrobe, PA. Must be on-site at Latrobe facility 1 to 2 days a week.

Schedule - This role will be working up to 40 hours a week during the summer months. During school semester, the role can be 15 to 20 hours per week. We have flexibility on the days and times that would be worked throughout the year, but prefer a minimum of approximately 15 hours weekly.

Start- Ideally this role would be starting late March to early April 2026 on part time basis and then continue through the summer, fall 2026, and spring 2027 semesters.

Tasks:

• Creating customer tax exemption certificates using SOVOS Compliance software.
• Analyze Sales tax issues and communicate the solutions to internal and external customers.
• Complete and submit Personal Property Tax Rendition forms.
• Submit Personal Property and Real Estate invoices for payment.
• Work with a third-party provider to coordinate the completion and submission of the Kennametal
• General Ledger reconciliation of monthly Sales/Use tax activity using excel spreadsheets.
• Assist with State Sales/Use tax audit documentation retrieval requests.
• Perform General Ledger account reconciliations.

Education requirements:

• Junior or Senior level Accounting, Finance or Business Management major
• GPA: 3.0 or above

Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Possess a high level of accuracy
• Intermediate level Excel skills
• Familiar with SAP ERP system
• Familiar with Microsoft Outlook
