- Learn to ensure adherence to environmental laws, regulations, and standards at the local, state, and federal levels
- Assist with audits to identify and address potential environmental risks and areas for improvement
- Gain understanding of relevant federal, state and local environmental regulations

Expected Deliverables
- The intern will develop a jobsite-ready environmental compliance package that strengthens their understanding of environmental regulations while supporting field teams and reducing regulatory risk. Through this effort, the intern will gain hands-on experience translating regulatory requirements into practical field tools. The package will include: (1) a summary of common environmental permit requirements by project type; (2) an easy-to-use environmental inspection checklist covering common environmental requirements; (3) a "Top 10" list of environmental non-compliance issues for Wisconsin transmission line construction projects, with clear guidance on prevention; and (4) a one-page compliance quick guide tailored for superintendents and field leadership. The final deliverable will be clear, practical, and immediately usable on active jobsites.
- Participation in the Lunch & Learn internship program provided by the MYR Group Internship Leadership team.
- Prior to the end of their internship, the intern will create and present a self-reflection project detailing their gained industry knowledge, future career goals, as well as personal and professional growth. The presentation will be provided in PowerPoint and presented to their direct management team.

Qualifications
- College sophomore or above working towards a related undergraduate degree or be currently enrolled in or attending trade school. If you are a recent graduate, you must be within 1 year of your graduation date.
- No experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prepare and give presentations.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
