Security Officer - Second Shift

As a Security Officer - Ingress Inspection in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor key checkpoints, conduct screening activities, and support access control to help reduce security-related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and document observations using site tools and technology. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Screen employees, visitors, and contractors entering the facility using site-approved methods such as magnetometer walkthroughs, handheld wands, and/or bag and package inspections.
• Verify identification and access authorization, issue and/or collect visitor credentials, and maintain screening and entry logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity through the established chain of communication.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by monitoring entry points for delivery drivers and yard traffic, checking documentation as required, and coordinating with site contacts to help to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
