As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service, document observations, and communicate concerns quickly and clearly to the appropriate teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control, and other security-related support at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and fire and/or alarm events, and request assistance from clinical staff and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking areas to help reduce the likelihood of unauthorized activity and/or property damage; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor entry points, check identification and/or visitor credentials when directed, and help manage visitor flow to support hospital operations and protect patient privacy.
  • Document security-related activity in written reports and electronic logs, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives, and preserve relevant information for follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This hospital site requires vaccines.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
