Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Hospital Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical facility access concerns, and requests for assistance.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or theft.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, report suspicious activity, and assist with wayfinding and/or visitor management in accordance with location policies.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate with hospital staff and/or local responders as needed, and follow post orders for incident documentation and escalation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
