How You'll Make an Impact As an intern supporting the Information Systems team at Aptima, you will have the opportunity to contribute to core Information Systems operations and network administration while gaining hands-on experience in enterprise IT environments. Responsibilities include ticket resolution, asset management, technical refresh initiatives, and support for networking tasks such as connectivity troubleshooting, workstation setups, and networking upgrades. Key Responsibilities: * Provide first-level support by assisting with IT ticket resolution, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting * Participate in tech refresh projects by imaging, configuring, and deploying new devices * Assist in maintaining accurate records in asset management systems, including inventory updates and tracking * Support network administration tasks, such as setting up workstations, configuring switches, and troubleshooting connectivity issues * Assist with VPN setup and remote access troubleshooting * Collaborate with team members to ensure IT equipment and network resources are prepared and functional for end-users * Contribute to process improvements by documenting procedures and sharing insights for streamlining operations Requirements
* Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance * Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field * Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and networking fundamentals * Previous experience with network administration is a plus * Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a proactive attitude * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment * Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes in a fast-paced IT environment All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other status protected by applicable national, federal, state or local law.
