Responsibilities
The Security Officer Lead provides supervisory oversight during their shift, ensuring the effective execution of security operations and maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role is responsible for coordinating daily activities within the department, overseeing security documentation, and ensuring prompt responses to security concerns. The Security Officer Lead also plays a critical role in hiring, training, and educating security personnel while maintaining scheduling, payroll management, and ensuring 24/7 security coverage. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and attention to detail to uphold security standards and foster a professional security team.
Performs duties while maintaining good service excellence and service recovery skills at all times. Practices the principles outlined in the document "Hartgrove's Rules of Engagement". Qualifications JOB SPECIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Education: High School Diploma required. Some College or Higher Education preferred. Experience:Minimum 1-3 years experience in security at a psychiatric hospital/healthcare facility preferred. Licensure/Certification: BLS licensure/certification preferred. Knowledge:Ability to communicate effectively.
