Security Officer - Unarmed Foot Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Foot Patrol in Penns Grove, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor campus areas, conduct routine foot patrols, support access control and visitor screening, and document security-related observations. You will stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, assist staff and students with questions, and communicate clearly during unusual activity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and Allied Universal guidelines for security-related activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of school buildings, classrooms, offices, parking areas, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential issues.
• Monitor and document security-related concerns such as open doors, propped entrances, unauthorized persons, and unusual activity, and report findings according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, lockdowns, and/or other emergency response activities as directed by site leadership.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate professionally with site administrators and/or local responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
