You will conduct routine foot and/or bike patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist with access control and badge checks. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes, noting irregular activity and reporting concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, disturbance calls, and/or medical emergency notifications as directed.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations, and provide directions and assistance to campus community members and visitors.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant information to campus partners and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support investigations by preserving observations and evidence as instructed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
