Nurse Practice Specialist - Emergency Department

Responsible for enhancing nursing practice standards and promoting professional development within our hospital through developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based nursing practice standards and protocols.

Education

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • Master's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials

  • Registered Nurse [RN - Massachusetts] - required
  • Basic Life Support Certification - required

Experience

  • Nursing experience 5-7 years required and
  • Specialized (Emergency Department) clinical experience 3-5 years required
  • Demonstrated experience in education preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice, quality improvement methodologies, and healthcare regulations.
  • Extensive clinical experience with a focus on a specialized area within the hospital (e.g., critical care, oncology, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teaching skills.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
