Desktop Support Technician - Contract to Hire Springfield, MA About the Role We need a Desktop Support Technician with solid hands-on experience and strong customer service skills for a healthcare environment in Springfield, MA. This is a contract-to-hire position requiring weekend availability and on-call coverage. Serious inquiries only. What You'll Be Doing * Hands-on hardware support and break-fix work - swapping parts, troubleshooting issues, getting people back up and running * Windows imaging and deployment of new laptops, desktops, and peripherals * Onsite support at client locations throughout the facility * Setting up new users with equipment and access * Diagnosing connectivity issues, managing updates, and resolving performance problems * Supporting specialized healthcare equipment including TeleNeuro carts and SOC systems * Providing on-call support and responding to alerts as scheduled * Password resets, software support, and general troubleshooting What You Need * 2-3 years of hands-on IT support experience - hardware break-fix and Windows imaging * Solid understanding of networking fundamentals * Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users * Ability to stay organized and work effectively in a fast-paced environment * Flexibility to work weekends (first or second shift as scheduled) plus on-call rotation * Reliable transportation for onsite support Nice to Have (But Not Required) * Healthcare IT experience * Familiarity with cloud implementations * Experience with ticketing systems like Autotask The Details This is a contract-to-hire position with conversion to permanent employment based on performance. Schedule includes weekend shifts and on-call coverage. Healthcare experience is a plus but not required. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, MA.
