*Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused *Service Desk Technician* to join our IT support team. This role is responsible for providing front-line technical assistance, resolving end-user issues, and delivering a positive support experience. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to high-quality service.
*Key Responsibilities* *End User Support & Issue Resolution* * Field incoming service desk incidents and requests with professionalism, courtesy, and adherence to established SLAs. * Provide timely first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, operating systems, and various application packages. * Document all relevant end-user information and conduct post-resolution followups to confirm successful issue resolution and overall satisfaction. *Incident Management & Escalation* * Record, track, and document the entire incident lifecycle, including diagnostics, decisions made, and actions taken. * Prioritize, schedule, and escalate issues as needed to senior technicians or Technology Services Specialists. * Evaluate resolutions, test fixes, and identify opportunities to prevent recurring issues. * Alert management to emerging trends or recurring patterns that require attention. *Knowledge & Tools* * Learn and maintain up-to-date knowledge of supported hardware, software, and related tools within the organization. * Access resources such as software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQs to assist in troubleshooting. * Create and maintain internal and end-user knowledge documents to improve support efficiency. *Additional Duties* * Assist with software releases, updates, and deployments in alignment with change management best practices. * Support a variety of service desk operational tasks as assigned. * Perform other related duties as required. *Qualifications* * Previous experience in a service desk, help desk, or technical support role preferred. * Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Familiarity with service ticketing systems and ITIL-aligned workflows is a plus. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
