DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2 you will provide clerical and office support to ensure operations are conducted efficiently and effectively in the Blair County District Office. Duties include typing various clerical documents such as letters, vouchers, memos, meeting minutes, and agendas; ensures all documents are properly formatted and correct grammar has been used. Answers the office telephone and acts as receptionist/radio dispatcher during months when winter dispatchers are not available. Initiates and maintains records on operator certification. This position will act as travel arranger making travel accommodations for all county employees, and will complete travel expense forms upon the return of employees and submits to District for payment. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Hollidaysburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements (NSRs):
- This position requires the ability to take and transcribe dictation.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
