Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Supervisor, Admissions is responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight, financial performance, and direct supervision of assigned units within the Admissions Department. The incumbent is accountable for directing departmental workflow, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ensuring coworker competency, and maintaining the highest standards of admissions quality, regulatory compliance, and service excellence within the designated area of assignment. This role serves as the central control point for admitting issues within the assigned units, maintaining responsibility for daily processing activities, The Supervisor maintains and coordinates the Admissions and Registration ADT system, , and represents UCI Admissions Services This position is responsible for the selection, orientation, and training of new coworkers, as well as the ongoing coaching, performance management, and professional development of all assigned admissions coworkers. The Supervisor defines performance expectations, evaluates coworker performance, manages human resources activities, and initiates corrective action as warranted, in alignment with health system policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements. The incumbent monitors unit budgets, ensures departmental standards of operation remain in compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies, and communicates effectively with patients, physicians, coworkers, and visitors in a manner that demonstrates compassion and reflects the UCI Health mission and strategic plan.
