Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Director,Pharmacyis responsible for the operational leadership and management of all pharmacy services and functions at their assigned facility or facilities. The incumbent is accountable for the clinical quality, operational performance, regulatory and accreditation compliance, and financial management of pharmacy operations within the assigned area. This role directs departmental activities to ensure pharmacy services are delivered safely, accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with health system standards, state and federal regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives, supporting the safe and effective use of medications across the continuum of care. The Director serves as the primary subject matter expert and operational resource for all matters related to pharmacy practice. This position provides direct oversight and serves as a role model and primary resource to coworkers and others, maintaining accountability for departmental performance and the financial integrity of pharmacy operations. The Director exercises wide latitude of authority in managing facility-level pharmacy functions with limited oversight. What It Takes to be Successful Required Qualifications: Ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Ability to apply sound judgment in ambiguous situations and effectively manage change Demonstratedsuccess in operational leadership, strategic planning, and financial stewardship Ability to use computerized systems, applications, such as Microsoft Office, medication and safety technologies, and automated dispensing equipment Ability to read and correctly interpret complex regulations, contracts,and policies Minimum8-10yearsProgressive pharmacy leadership experience, including management of large teams or multi-site operations. Licenses and Certifications: Registered Pharmacistin CA in good standing(Required)(If not licensed in CA,mustattainCA Registered Pharmacist licensure within 12 months of hire.)
