Position Summary

The Accessibility Resource Center is currently hiring an Access Assistant to support a student with building architecture models. This position offers up to 10 hours per week, primarily on Mondays, Thursdays, and Friday evenings, with additional weekend hours as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Have successfully completed the Arch 1125 course and be
    familiar with the course curriculum.
  • Have experience building architecture models with a
    variety of techniques and materials such as basswood, acrylic, cardboard,
    and museum board.
  • Have clean model making craft.
  • Must work well with others and be able to follow
    direction.
  • The assistant will participate in the measuring or cutting of
    non-laser cut elements and physically construct the final model
    according to the student's specifications.
  • The assistant will follow direction from the student.

Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
