As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring a caring, agile, and reliable approach while working with integrity and teamwork to support daily operations and those on site.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and company policy.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property, storefront areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within the location, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
• Support loss prevention awareness efforts by observing for theft-related activity, assisting with incident documentation, and coordinating with local management and/or public law enforcement when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess an Act 235 qualification for Pennsylvania only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
