Job Description:
Major Tasks and Responsibilities of Position:
*Performs day-to-day Logistics Operations which includes the accountability for the planning and scheduling of transportation equipment and finished goods inventory in support of the business demand utilizing various reporting databases; SAP, Scale Soft, Lab Manager, and SHIPCSX rail management systems in the successful completion of the job functions.
*Works with Plant Production personnel and Plant Operators
*Effective communication with Truck Carriers and CSX Railroad staff
*Adhere to shipping requirements with Distribution, R&D and Laboratory
*Recommend transportation changes to accommodate customer requirements
*Data entry into computer-based information systems
*Post Goods Invoice (PGI) Truck and Railcar Shipments
*Schedule and prepare Truck and Railcar shipment document packages
*Acts as back-up for truck and railcar coordinator during staff vacations
*Maintain Office Supplies and Materials
*General office supplies
*Material and Product Tags
Qualification:
*Minimum requirement HS diploma with some work experience preferably plant and/or logistics related.

Preferred:
*5+ years experience
*Bachelor's is a plus
