Seasonal Pool Server/Bartender


Overview:
The Seasonal Pool Server/Bartender is responsible for providing efficient and friendly customer service to pool guests while maintaining a clean and professional environment. This role serves food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages, to pool patrons while ensuring guests are satisfied in a prompt and timely manner. The bartender/server must maintain knowledge of menu offerings, mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.


Responsibilities:


* Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to guest inquiries or requests.


* Must have full knowledge of all food and beverage menu offerings.


* Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all company and departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.


* Serve food and beverages to guests following Moments of Service (MOS) and adhere to service standards.


* Communicate with guests, management, kitchen staff, and fellow team members in a professional manner at all times.


* Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to management and kitchen staff.


* Maintain knowledge of liquor brands, beers, specialty beverages, and non-alcoholic selections offered.


* Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the bar area, back bar, and service areas.


* Ensure responsible service of alcohol by following all legal requirements including carding and monitoring consumption.


* Accurately take food and beverage orders and promptly record all transactions in the Micros system.


* Maintain guest tabs and process payments following established procedures.


* Maintain liquor par levels and assist with daily beer, wine, liquor, and supply orders from the storeroom.


* Contribute to a professional workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness.


* Work effectively with a diverse Front of House and Back of House team in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications:


* Minimum 6 months bartending experience in a similar establishment preferred.


* Previous cash handling experience required.


* Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, management, and co-workers in English.


* Strong guest service skills with the ability to interact confidently with guests in a pool environment.


* Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into the Micros POS system.


* Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.


* Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up on guest requests in a fast-paced environment.


* Excellent customer service, service recovery, and problem-solving skills.


* Must have valid TABC certification.


* Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.


* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.


* Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods in both indoor and outdoor environments.
