The Officer serves as a vital member of the Athletic Events team-a collaborative, mission-driven, donor- and sponsor-focused group of professionals who are committed to delivering best-in-class events through a spirit of teamwork and support. The Athletic Events team leads our Boston Marathon and Golf Program, which collectively raise $8-10M toward our overall $21M events goal. The Officer contributes to the planning and execution of these events as well as to our broader portfolio of 100+ annual events that unite and celebrate our vibrant donor community and that raise $21M+ annually to support the mission of Mass General Brigham.
*Support the Athletic Events Team with multiple running events and golf tournaments that raise $8-10 million in philanthropic revenue for MGB each year. *Assist in the planning and execution of these events, including managing prep meeting planning, logistics, agendas, and presentations-troubleshooting issues as needed, taking notes, and organizing follow-up actions. *Responsible for recruiting and managing the Falmouth Road Race and Maine Marathon teams, as well as overseeing fundraising and race day logistics. *In charge of on-site fundraising, golf player gifts, vendor management, and volunteer coordination for the Spaulding Golf Tournament. *Maintain RSVP and event records and assist with budget tracking and expense documentation. *Support other athletic fundraising events as needed. Bachelor's degree required and 2-3 years of related experience. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills, abilities and competencies:
