We are seeking entry-level Cable Technicians to support large-scale data center projects. This role is ideal for individuals who want to learn structured cabling in a hands-on environment. Technicians will assist experienced team members and team leads in building out data center infrastructure, including cable pathways, server racks, and fiber/copper cabling.Most technicians will begin by installing cable trays and assembling server racks, then progress into more advanced cabling and termination tasks as skills develop. Key Responsibilities: * Pull and route copper and fiber cables throughout a data center * Drop cable down walls using fish tape or similar tools * Organize, dress, label, and determine proper cable length and slack * Install and support cable using: * Cable trays * J-hooks * D-rings * Bridal rings * Trapeze systems * Assist with installing cable trays, pathways, and server racks * Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling * Perform fire-stopping procedures (install sleeves, pull cable through sleeves, and seal wall penetrations) * Terminate low-voltage devices (training provided) * Read and follow prints and diagrams * Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, work orders, material logs, etc.) * Follow all company, customer, safety, and quality standards * Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills: * Interest in cabling and data center work * Basic knowledge or exposure to: * Cat5 / Cat6 cable * Structured cabling * Cable installation or cable pulling * Willingness to learn fiber termination and color codes Qualifications: * Strong work ethic and punctuality * Team-oriented mindset * Flexible schedule availability * Overtime expected when projects fall behind * May work 10-12 hour days and up to 6 days per week Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sandston, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
