Access Control & Security Systems Technician Enterprise & Commercial Security Systems \| ContracttoHire \| Data Center & Critical Infrastructure We are hiring an experienced Access Control Technician to support enterpriselevel physical security deployments across data center, critical infrastructure, and commercial environments. This role focuses on the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of advanced Access Control Systems (ACS) and Video Management Systems (VMS). This is an excellent opportunity for technicians who want to work on highstandard security builds, interface with modern platforms, and grow within a technically strong security team. Role Overview The Access Control Technician will work in active production environments installing and servicing access control and video systems that protect highvalue facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring systems are installed correctly, programmed accurately, tested thoroughly, and documented clearly. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, understands both the hardware and software sides of security systems, and takes pride in clean, compliant installations. Key Responsibilities Access Control Systems * Install, configure, and support access control systems across singlesite and multisite environments * Install and terminate field devices including card readers, door contacts, REX devices, electrified locks, maglocks, strikes, and power supplies * Mount and wire control panels, intelligent controllers, and enclosures * Configure door logic, access levels, schedules, alarm points, and I/O * Perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting Video Surveillance Systems * Install, configure, and troubleshoot IPbased camera systems * Mount, aim, and adjust cameras to meet coverage and design standards * Configure VMS servers, clients, recording parameters, and analytics * Verify camera functionality, retention settings, and ACS/VMS integration System Integration & Support * Support integrated access control and video platforms * Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networkrelated issues * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site leadership * Maintain professional communication in secure, customerfacing environments Documentation & Quality * Update asbuilt drawings, device schedules, and system documentation * Ensure all work complies with manufacturer requirements and industry best practices * Represent the company with professionalism on highvisibility job sites Required Experience & Skills * 2+ years of handson experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting access control systems * Working knowledge of enterprise or commercial ACS platforms (LenelS2, Genetec, AMAG, CCURE, Brivo, Openpath, Feenics, Kantech, or similar) Experience supporting IPbased video systems and common VMS platforms (Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, ExacqVision, or comparable) * Strong understanding of electrified door hardware, field devices, and panel wiring * Familiar with lowvoltage cabling and basic networking concepts * Ability to test, commission, document, and troubleshoot integrated security systems * Professional communication skills and comfort working in secure, customerfacing environments Nice to Have * Data center or missioncritical facility experience * Exposure to enterprisescale or multisite security systems * Fiber optic familiarity * Experience with mobile credentials or cloudmanaged ACS platforms Work Environment & Schedule * Work performed inside secure facilities and data center environments * Monday-Friday schedule with extended shifts based on project demands * Occasional overtime depending on installation and commissioning milestones * PPE required on site (candidate must provide safety boots) Why This Role * Handson work with toptier access control and VMS platforms * Projects focused on enterprise and critical infrastructure, not small retail systems * Contracttohire potential with longterm growth pathways * Supportive team environment that values technical skill and quality work * Opportunities to advance into Lead Technician or Systems Specialist roles Who Should Apply This role is ideal for technicians who: Have real access control and video system experience Enjoy technical problemsolving and system troubleshooting Take pride in clean installs and welldocumented work Want to work on serious, highstandard security environments If you're ready to take the next step in your access control career and work with modern platforms in missioncritical settings, we want to hear from you.
