Job Description

The Product Manager Expert is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of one or more products within Allstate's growing product portfolio. This role owns the strategic product vision and leads product discovery, roadmap planning, and backlog management to maximize customer and enterprise value.
Successful Product Managers identify and challenge assumptions, validating them through effective product discovery and customer-facing research techniques. The Product Manager Expert works closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive alignment, manage expectations, and ensure successful execution.
This role also plays a critical customer-facing function, collaborating with internal and external customers to gather insights, translate needs into product requirements, and support go-to-market and communication strategies that ensure product success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, drive, and execute clear, outcomefocused product strategies for one or more products within a growing digital product portfolio, continuously refining direction based on results and learnings.

  • Use customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data insights to make informed product decisions, demonstrating the ability to dig deep into problems, assumptions, and opportunities.

  • Balance product discovery with delivery and strategic execution, leading focused research and experimentation to validate assumptions while maintaining momentum on roadmap and outcomes.

  • Lead discovery and testandlearn activities to validate hypotheses, sharpen problem statements, and confirm product direction early.

  • Decompose complex problems into smaller, actionable initiatives by creating, prioritizing, and maintaining a welldefined product backlog aligned to strategic goals.

  • Define, track, and refine success metrics to measure impact, inform decisionmaking, and continuously improve product performance.

  • Serve as the voice of the customer, investing meaningful time with current and prospective customers to deeply understand their needs, behaviors, and pain points.

  • Own backlog management, articulate a compelling product vision, and provide timely, transparent stakeholder updates on progress, tradeoffs, and delivery outcomes.

  • Coach and mentor product team members and crossfunctional partners on collaboration, ideation, customer research, experimentation, measurement, product delivery, customer engagement, and rollout best practices-keeping outcomes at the center of execution.

Experience
