Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manager of Financial Communications to join our team and help build a best-in-class financial communications function. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Communications, this is an opportunity for someone passionate about financial communications to shape how we tell Allstate's financial story and instill confidence in our strategy with investors, analysts and the broader business community. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of relevant experience in financial communications with strong writing skills and a deep passion for staying immersed in financial markets, corporate strategy and the evolving communications landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Development and Execution: Lead development of high-quality financial communications materials, including writing press releases, presentations, executive scripts, messaging frameworks and Q&A documents for quarterly earnings, investor conferences and other financial announcements. Ensure all materials are accurate, clear and aligned with corporate messaging.
  • Media Relations: Lead media relations by building relationships with financial and business media, developing briefing materials, drafting responses to inquiries and building communications plans that enhance the company's reputation with key business and financial media.
  • Digital and Online Communications: Maintain and enhance Allstate's digital financial communications presence, including website content and social media. Stay current on emerging financial communications trends, including financial influencers, AI-powered search, generative engine optimization (GEO) and other evolving channels. Bring insights and best practice recommendations to keep Allstate at the forefront of financial communications.
  • Event and Conference Support: Prepare materials and messaging for investor conferences, executive speaking engagements and other investor events.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Investor Relations, Communications, Legal, Accounting and Finance teams to ensure messaging consistency and alignment across all financial communications touchpoints. Work closely with external agencies and vendors on financial communications strategy and materials.
  • Research, Measurement and Analysis: Support measurement and evaluation of financial communications strategies, providing insights and recommendations to strengthen strategies and tactics.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integration: Leverage AI to enhance financial communications processes, improving speed, efficiency and content quality.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in financial communications, media relations, public relations or corporate communications. Financial communication experience is required, including demonstrated experience supporting quarterly earnings for a public company.

Skills:

  • Strong writing, editing, and visual communications skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, compelling messages across platforms to convey Allstate's financial story.
  • Deep passion for financial communications with a commitment to staying immersed in financial markets, investor sentiment and industry trends.
  • Demonstrated understanding of corporate financial results and Investor Relations practices, including confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements to ensure compliance with Reg FD.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with significant leadership visibility, managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines with confidence and attention to quality.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience with or demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance content creation, research and communications efficiency, with a willingness to explore emerging technologies and identify innovative ways to improve workflows.

Technology requirements:

  • Allstate provides a comprehensive technology setup, including a laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse. Employees eligible to work from home also receive a monthly connectivity reimbursement to help offset internet costs.
  • When working from home, you must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating. Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 90,700.00 - 153,925.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
