Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility - Overnight Shift in Palm Harbor, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a professional environment, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and driven by integrity and care.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including hallways, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations by maintaining a visible presence and addressing issues through established procedures.
  • Support access control and visitor management functions by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when required, and communicating with staff regarding security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
