*Sterilization Technician / Central Sterile Technician* *Experience Level:* Intermediate
*Department:* Dental Center / Clinical Operations *Position Overview* We are seeking a detailoriented and reliable *Sterilization Technician* to support clinical operations by ensuring all dental instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained. This role is critical to infection prevention, patient safety, and efficient provider workflow. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, adheres strictly to infection control protocols, and works effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team. *Key Responsibilities* * Clean, sanitize, assemble, and organize dental instruments and equipment to maintain readiness for clinical use. * Ensure instruments are sterilized promptly upon receipt into Central Sterilization. * Maintain familiarity with and strictly follow *OSHA standards* and infection control protocols. * Monitor, document, and maintain accurate records of *sterilization cycles, spore testing, and equipment logs*. * Utilize internal tracking systems to monitor instrument flow through the sterilization process. * Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards across all sterilization areas. * Restock and maintain adequate inventory of sterilization and clinical supplies. * Communicate equipment, supply, or process concerns to the *Lead Sterilization Technician* in a timely manner. * Respond to provider requests related to instruments and handpieces to support clinical schedules. * Attend meetings as required and actively contribute to team collaboration. * Promote a positive work environment and support departmental goals through teamwork and accountability. *Required Skills* * Sterile processing * Infection control * Inventory accuracy * Attention to detail * Time management and task prioritization *Additional Qualifications* * Understanding of dental or medical instruments and their proper handling * Experience maintaining accurate sterilization and inventory records * Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced clinical environment * Knowledge of infection prevention procedures and best practices * Strong organizational and communication skills *Preferred Experience* * Prior experience in dental, medical, or sterile processing environments * Familiarity with sterilization tracking systems * Experience working with handpieces and specialty dental instruments *Work Environment* * Clinical dental setting * Requires adherence to safety, sanitation, and confidentiality standards * Frequent standing, bending, and handling of equipment *Why Join Us* * Play a vital role in patient safety and quality of care * Support a collaborative, teamfocused clinical environment * Opportunity to apply and grow specialized sterile processing skills *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
